Construction of Fourth Capitol Building Dome
View along top of roof towards the fourth State Capitol building under construction, with erection tower and gin pole behind the girders of the dome substructure. At least five men are working among the girders, and a few men are standing on the top of the erection tower. Caption on back reads: "Dome proper looking over and taken from the roof of West Wing. Shows dome up to 106' lever [sic] and also shows erection tower in center of dome being extended on up to 240' level. Gang all ready to fleet gin pole up to next elevation." |
