Fish, regardless of their fate, do respect fishermen. Even the whale up Jonah. The wood duck and the red-winged blackbird revel in the spring reborn. The crab extends his activity by tying flies. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Sid Boyum annually created an "Opening Day" drawing to promote the first day of the general fishing season, published from 1963 to 1989 in the Capital Times and the Wisconsin State Journal. In exchange, Sid would receive copies of the print to distribute on his own. For the photograph of the fisherman used in this drawing, see Image ID: 121985.
