Mrs. Steve McNamara (left), granddaughter of Nathan Strong, the founder of the city of Berlin, then named Strong's Landing, spoke at the dedication ceremony of the Upper Fox River historical marker in Riverside Park in Berlin, about her Strong family history. Berlin Park Board members, Mrs. Edwin Winkoski (right of marker) and Mrs. Karl Baehr (middle) were present along with the Chairman of the Berlin Park Board, L.A. Blackbourn (far right), master of ceremonies, to dedicate the historical marker.

Berlin Lock and Dam
Fox River
The old lock and dam no longer exist, but you can see the entrance to the old lock at the Berlin public launch and the remains of the old dam along a river walk and overlook on the river.
Voyageur Park
Fox River
Voyageur Park has a good view of the DePere lock, as well as two historic markers within the park grounds.
