The map features numerous place names of the countries, states, regions, Native American land, and some cities but does not depict any political borders. The coast lines, islands, rivers, and lakes appear in great detail, including the mythical River of the West. Small notes appear throughout the map, such as the site of Sir Francis Drakes landing in 1578. |
