A Map and Chart of Those Parts of the Bay of Chesapeak, York and James Rivers Which are at Present the Seat of War
Map of the southern portion of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding lands. It shows counties, a few cities and towns, forts, roads, islands, topographical features of the Bay including depth by soundings, and rivers. Most notably, this map highlights the Siege of Yorktown, showing the location and layout of Fort Cornwallis, Washington and Rochambeau's armies, and the French blockade off of Cape Henry. |
