Fire in Milwaukee
A fireman is climbing a tall ladder supported on the rear wall of a two-story brick building. There are other firemen on the ground and two men observing. There is smoke coming from a second story window, and also filling the air beyond the ladders. A car is parked on the left. In the background is the water tower atop the seven-story Frankfurth Hardware Building (built 1880's, demolished 1980), which faced North Plankinton Avenue. |
