Cora Young
Cabinet card showing a young girl posing on wooden steps on a set. The card is labeled Cora Young on the back. This is possibly Cora Louise Bartlett Young, who was born in Eau Claire in 1900. Ms. Young graduated from the Eau Claire Teachers College, and also studied at UW-Madison and Northwestern. She studied public school music education and served jobs in many towns before settling in Pasadena, California, in the 1930s. There, she served as a music teacher and later as president of the Pasadena Symphony Association, from 1953 to 1961. She was active in many community organizations, including the Red Cross during World War II. |
