| The caption on the back of this photograph reads: "Eight of the Sales force of the Gisholt Machine Company. (Refused!)" It was made by "J.H.N." A line of eight men, who are wearing long overcoats and bowler hats, are walking in the plant yard in the opposite direction of a hand on a sign on the side of a building, "Employment Bureau." The line of men are walking with heads down, one holds the hand of a small child. They are walking away from a ninth man, who is in a suit and pointing at the group of men with a baton. |
