Stocking a Lake
A biplane is dropping fingerling fish into a Wisconsin lake. There are two small sheds on the shoreline. The caption on the reverse of the print reads: "Fish have been successfully transported over long distances and planted from the air by the Fish Management Division of the Wisconsin Conservation Department. The method offers speed and flexibility in distribution of fish. Further studies are being made as to its practical application in this state. The photograph shows the fish leaving the airplane in an experimental planting test." |
