Indian Camp
Two large woven baskets with shoulder straps are sitting on the ground in front of an open tepee in a forest clearing. There are two tin cups on the ground and a third is hanging from the trunk of a tree. There is a large, fairly new blaze cut into the bark of a tree in the background, with what appears to be writing on the exposed wood. A smaller blaze marks the tree just to the right of the tepee. On the reverse of the photograph is written: "Indian camp in the wilderness. Menominee Indian Reservation." |
