New U.S. Postal Mail Truck
A new red, white and blue mail truck is displayed at the Madison Post Office garage. A poster on the side of the truck reads: "Don't be a Hurry Bug — Slow Down and Live." The poster is part of a nationwide "Slow Down and Live" traffic safety campaign. Standing in front of the truck are (left to right): Asst. Postmaster LeRoy Murray; post office garage superintendent Leslie Doyle; mechanic Fred Grant; John Whitmore, safety director; Henry Olson, dispatcher and superintendent of driver safety; and Don Cowen, clerk of vehicle services. |
