Queen for a Day
A woman is sitting and smiling, and wearing a crown. She is holding an opened package, and next to her is a bag advertising Coca-Cola. Caption reads: "'Queen for a day' Saturday was Mrs. Sherman [Ada] Lefco, 2042 N. 57th St. She won the title by signing up more new members than anyone else in a drive held by the Morris R. Guten Auxiliary 487 of the Jewish War Veterans. Mrs. Lefco was crowned in a ceremony at the Elks club and given a variety of gifts." |
