George Hubbard Holt (1852-1924) is the brother of W.A. Holt. "Clinker built is a method of boat building where the edges of the hull planks overlap," similar to shingles. This technique is also called lapstrake. An example of clinker construction is a Viking longship. (Source: Wikipedia). Photograph in album is overlapped on top left by another photograph. |
