Beauty Pageant
| A local beauty pageant for Wisconsin-wide media outlets and community organizations. The line-up of contestants are wearing one-piece bathing suits (with and without straps), kitten heels (peep- and closed-toe), red lipstick and sashes identifying their sponsor ("Miss Eau Claire Press," "Miss WISN-TV," "Miss Lake County Reporter," and "Miss Ripon Commonwealth Press"). Standing to face the camera, most of the women have their hair pulled back, and some are wearing studded earrings. They group is standing in a turquoise painted room with a high-ceiling before a blue photographer's backdrop. |

| This picture is one frame of a Kodak 3D stereo slide. The number "7" is written in pen on the front of this stereo slide mount, one out of 16 in the sequence. The Kodak stereo mount with red trademark backing was the standard one manufactured until 1957, helping to date the era. There are at least three different pageants in this series.
