Portrait of Photographer Edward Steichen
The many moods of Edward Steichen (1879-1973), dean of photography, were captured by Wisconsin State Journal photographer Edwin Stein during an informal gathering at artist Aaron Bohrod's studio on the University of Wisconsin campus. Steichen was the director of the Department of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Bohrod was the artist-in-residence at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. |
