Good Neighbor Policy
The first page of an article published in The Westerner, a publication for the employees of the Western Printing & Lithographing Company of Racine. The article summarizes the history of the Germania Publishing Company (re-named The North American Press in 1918), of Milwaukee and features photographs of the founder, George Brumder (1839-1910); his son and successor as president of The North American Press, George Frederick Brumder (1878-1961); and grandson Edward John Brumder Sr. (1907-1998), at the time vice president of The North American Press. Edward would succeed his father, George F. Brumder, as president. Western Printing printed Little Golden Books for children. After 1941, The North American Press providing the binding services for Little Golden Books. |
