Lester Carr

Image

A light-colored horse is hitched to a small buggy driven by Lester Carr. Carr is wearing a hat and has a lap robe across his legs. The buggy is stopped on Grand Avenue (since 1926, Wisconsin Avenue) near the George Washington Monument. St. James Episcopal Church is in the background, right. A caption on the reverse states: "Our horse 'Dolly' with Lester Carr in buggy. This picture is taken by Alfred Brumder, as were all those mounted like this one."
