I.P. Rumsey was the father of Lucy Rumsey Holt. Mary Eleanor Holt was the youngest daughter of Lucy and W.A. Holt. See Image ID: 140541 for photo of grandfather I.P. Rumsey and granddaughter Eleanor Holt in 1900. Sharon Ann Holt wondered whether this photo was taken after Eleanor's struggle with polio. "She looks a little wan and may be leaning on her grandfather to stand. Eleanor may still be recovering from her bout with polio, hence the firm hold I.P Rumsey has on her and the joy that she is standing at all. She had a lifelong limp from damage from polio." |
