Information with photograph reads: "Used by the Fairgrounds Race Track (New Orleans) maintenance men to keep the track in condition and to pull the heavy starting gate into position before and after a race. The T-6 used to pull the gate has been used for 3 yrs. without a single failure to start and move the gate on time. The I-4, I-6 and W-30 are used to smooth track between races. The IH truk carries a water tank and pump powered by a U-4 engine to wet track when dry and dusty. Photo by Elmer Weaver." |
