The Aderyn
The Class A, shovel-nosed sailboat, the Aderyn sailing on Lac La Belle. A handwritten caption on the reverse of the photograph identifies Herman Otto Brumder, skipper; his brother George F. Brumder, sheet; Adolph Rietbrock, prone on starboar deck; and Bob Manegold, at mast. The Aderyn was built by Jones and LaBorde boatbuilders in Oshkosh, and owned by George Brumder, Milwaukee publisher and businessman whose summer home was on Pine Lake. The Aderyn won the Inland Lake Yachting Association Regatta on Pewaukee Lake in August 1902. |
