Red Cross Gray Ladies Volunteer at the Wisconsin Diagnositc Center
Discussing volunteer recruitment and assignments at the Wisconsin Diagnostic Center at 1552 University Avenue are Mrs. J.O. Wilson (left, Verona), a co-ordinator of volunteers for the center, and Mrs. Don D. Wheeler (Waunakee), chairman of the local Red Cross Gray Ladies unit. The Red Cross Gray Ladies unit provides numerous volunteers for the center. The center was under the supervision of the Mental Hygiene Division of the State Department of Public Welfare and connected with the University of Wisconsin Medical School as a training ground for medical students and future psychiatrists. |
