Warren Flisram the Honest Teen
Warren Flisram (16, rural Brooklyn) is receiving $100 for his honesty in finding and helping recover $13,500 in cash along a railroad right-of-way on January 31, 1958. Warren found the money, most of it in $20 bills, after a mail pouch broke open as it was tossed out of a train and fell under the wheels. With Flisram are (left to right): John Cato, a postal inspector (Milwaukee); Donald Ferris, Brooklyn chief of police to whom Flisram reported his find; and Arthur Flisram, Warren's father. |
