Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity Purchases Sherman Tank

Delta Sigma Pi fraternity members and friends ride the 33-ton used Sherman tank that the fraternity purchased from the Army at Camp McCoy, from the Milwaukee Road depot to Ed's Service Station, 1443 University Avenue, where it was on display until Armed Services Day, when it was moved to the fraternity for a spring "Tank Party". Later, the tank was donated to a veterans' group for use as a war memorial. |
