Text on back of print in M2005-096, Box 17, Folder 9 reads: "Arville Schaleben, reporting for the Milwaukee Journal and North American Newspaper Alliance, walked, hitchhiked (there were few vehicles, however) or rode horseback to cover the Matanuska valley colonists in 1935. Here, trouble developed with Father Merrill Sulzman's parish Ford, or was it a Chevy."
