Metropolitan Opera Celebration
Elevated view of a crowd of Metropolitan Opera singers celebrating longtime manager of the New York Metropolitan Opera, Giulio Gatti-Casazza. The surprise celebration took place on boaerd the Italian liner Rex prior to Gatti's departure for Italy where he lived in retirement. Some of the performers are carrying a banner reading: "Long Live Our Beloved Gatti."
