Karl Zettler Half-Timber House
A timber and masonry house in the Ozaukee County Pioneer Village. Text on back reads: "Ozaukee County, Pioneer Village, Wisconsin. Karl Zettler Half-Timber House 1849. The unique timber and masonry construction can be traced to early England and European low-land countries. Timbers are held with wooden pegs. The flagstone kitchen floor was originally set in sand. Red trim around doors and windows, chimney platform and small stove are typical of the period." There is a stone outbuilding on the left with paths and shrubs. Red flowers are planted in a round brick garden and trees are in the background. |
