The Hiawatha

Text on front: "The Hiawatha. Crossing the Wisconsin River at the 'Dells'." On reverse: "The Scenic Route. The Milwaukee Road is the only double tracked route all the way between Chicago and the Twin Cities. It is the scenic route through beautiful lakelands, the picturesque Wisconsin Dells, and for 140 miles along the Mississippi River. Four Hiawathas provide Double Daily Service. No extra fare." The Hiawatha locomotive #4 and passenger cars travel over the bridge at the Wisconsin Dells. The Wisconsin River, rock formations and trees fill the background. The Hiawatha route ran from 1935 to 1971. |
