Postcard
Cement Driveway at Walnut Grove
Postcard of the new cement driveway. The corner of the house is in the left foreground, and at the entrance to the drive is a gate and fence. On the right a young child is sitting on horseback on the turn of the driveway near a tree. Behind the tree is a building, perhaps a garage. Text on back of postcard reads: "I am sending you several cards of the new cement driveway to the house. Thinking you would like to see what it is like. This view shows the turn in front of the house. We are very proud of this improvement. With love from us all to you. Irene Searson, July 14, 1909." Addressed to Mrs. McCormick, 135 Rush St., Chicago, Ill. |
