North Reading Room Mural

The mural depicts a trading station on the borders of a lake, the Whites and Indians are bargaining for furs, and the canoe is the means of transportation. One of four murals by Charles Yardley Turner, representing the evolution of transportation in America. The stained glass skylight in the Wisconsin State Capitol North Hearing Room can also be seen. The title of the mural is: "A Lake Trading Station."
