Wrecked Automobile

Essex automobile in the repair shop after a crash on July 26 that killed the passengers — Edna Edge (Mrs.Clarence Edge) and Irving "Ole" Brown, WIBA entainer. The accident occurred on the intersection of Highway 51 and Hope Road (aka Buckeye Road), east of Lake Monona. Clarence Edge was arrested for drunk driving and charged with manslaughter on August 22nd, held for trial Sept. 9th and found Not Guilty at his trial in Monroe, WI on Oct. 28, 1931. |
