This collection includes photographs related to the records of an organization of professional social workers and citizens formed in order to improve social welfare programs in the state. The photographs document the activities and programs of the United Service Organization (USO) and the United Defense Fund, and the State Migrant Committee, ca. 1954. Images in the USO component relate to servicemen, staff members, dances, bowling, and sightseeing. Images in the State Migrant Committee component show children engaged in various classroom activities. |
