Night view of the University Avenue bank building, 905 University Avenue, designed in the Art Deco style by Weary and Alford of Chicago for the First Central Bank about 1928-1929. Rennebohm Drug Store #7 occupies the street level of the building. Notice that the streetcar tracks can be seen in the street intersection. |

Rennebohm purchased the store at this location that was part of the pharmacy chain of Adolph Menges. Menges pharmacy operations date to 1891 and at the University Avenue location (although in a different building) to 1913. The Rennebohm store later moved to a location just to the west of the bank. |
