Madison's Old Central Fire Station & Police Station
Madison's old Central Fire Station (1881-1904), 10 South Webster Street, with Police Station on the left. Probably photographed at the turn of the century by William G. Barckhan. In the immediate foreground is a steam fire engine; behind it is a hose wagon. This building was originally the Billings Plow Works and then became the Police Garage, and later Littel Printing Co. after the fire department moved out. |
