The vest worn by Arndt, with the bullet hole, is now in the museum collection of the Wisconsin Historical Society. There is a color, tryptic painting in the Society headquarters building that contains a depiction of the same event. It was painted by William Ashby McCloy in observance of the Wisconsin Centennial. |
