Civil rights sit-in by John Salter, Joan Trumpauer, and Anne Moody at Woolworth's lunch counter. People pour sugar, ketchup and mustard on them in protest. Looking on as part of the crowd are Red Hydrick, seen in the upper left wearing a hat and eyeglasses, and teenager D. C. Sullivan, who is in the middle of the crowd smoking a cigarette.
