Montague (switching cars with mules), Hans Meyers (mower room), and C.I. Bewley (asst. wood shop); the second row from the top consists of, from left to right: Svanoe, John Voice (wood shop), J.S. Wilson (machine shop), M.C. Brown (binder room), S.C.A. Holth (head draftsman), J.H. Haskins (tool room) and Van Kirk (canvas room); the third row features, from left to right: Rudolph Schench (drafting room), Henry Pridmore (inventor), Herrick (clerk in office), Joe Bache (pay master), Will Hanna (time clerk), Wm. Crickard (time clerk), John Berg (paint shop), and Wm. Ward (foundry); the bottom row is made up of, from left to right: two unknown men, Charlie Wilson (office), Frank Mangan (office), Geo. B. Averill (supt.), Hamilton (ex. supt.), W.R. Baker (inventor), and W.B. Howard (repair dept.). Many of these men still held their positions at the time of the Haymarket Riots in 1886. |
