Experimental No. 51 Hillside Harvester-Thresher

Experimental McCormick-Deering No. 51 hillside harvester-thresher (combine). Original caption reads: "This machine had no recleaner but featured a self-leveling cleaning shoe and chaffer unit which has all the elements of a recleaner. The machine had a 14-foot cutting platform (floating type), straw raddles, and bagging platform. Its construction was rather light for the severe conditions encountered in hillside work and a heavier experimental machine of similar type is to be tried out this coming season (1933)." |
