International KBR-14 Truck

International KBR-14 semi-truck, the largest truck built at the time at International Harvester's Fort Wayne Works. Produced from 1947-1949, the KBR was designed especially for off-highway use, adaptable for coal strip mining, iron ore mining and for use in stone quarries. It was also used as a snowplow unit. Featuring a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 30,000 pounds and a heavy-duty rear axle capable of carrying 28,850 pounds, the KBR-14 came in three wheel bases, 161, 179 and 215 inches. |
