Congressional Committee at Lincoln Funeral

Albumen print of the Congressional Committee, in front of the Abraham Lincoln home during Lincoln's funeral. The Congressional Committee accompanied Lincoln's body all the way to Springfield. From time to time crowds around the Lincoln home would be cleared away for official photographs of mourners. The home, located at 413 South Eighth Street, is decorated with evergreen boughs on the corners and a variety of mourning curtains and swags.
