Harrison Street Viaduct

Rail car passing over the Harrison Street viaduct on the Wingra Park line. The line served the growing suburbs of University Heights, Oakland Heights, and Wingra Park. This car had ten bench seats running across the car and was rated as a fifty-passenger car. Such cars were extensively used for tranporting huge crowds back and forth to the circus grounds and for refreshing summer rides. |
