The group in the tall grass in front includes a woman sitting on the right with a parasol on a cushioned rocking chair, and a man with a long beard sitting on the left holding a book or newspaper. Two women are standing near the porch, and a man and a woman are sitting on the porch railing posts. Another woman standings near the porch on the right. Two birdcages are hanging on the porch. In the foreground on the left is a wooden box sitting on the ground which may be a beehive.
