Original negative 249. See also Image IDs: 9219 and 27034. From Kathleen Lenerz 3/1/2007 (in addition to the Additional Information for Image ID: 9219): "This is the home of William (1819-1875) and Eliza (Goldthorpe) Dickinson (1843-1927). The two bigger boys on the porch roof are probably Weetman (b 1863) and George (b 1865). The infant in the pram at the front gate is probably Laura (b 7 Feb 1874), the mother of Beatrice Holton McEvers. Laura's birthdate plus the fact that William died in April 1875 would make summer 1874 a good date for the photos." The location is "the S 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of Section 14 in the Town of Albion...William Dickinson was one of the first settlers on Albion Prairie, arriving in June 1844...The house still stands today on the west side of Hillside Road, between Craig Road and Highway 106, not far from the Albion Prairie Primitive Methodist and Methodist Episcopal churches (which Dahl may have photographed about the same time as this photo)." |
