Quarter-length oval portrait of J.P. Dickson. He was born in Danville, Caledonia county, Vermont. Dickson emigrated to Wisconsin on June 20th, 1836, and resided in Janesville. He was present and assisted in raising the first cabin in Janesville. Dickson served as a Janesville alderman to the third ward prior to or during 1866. |
