Anti-Franco Demonstration

CIO members joined Lincoln Brigade veterans in a demonstration on Wisconsin Avenue last week to demand the breaking off of U.S. diplomatic relations with Franco fascist Spain. Similar demonstrations were held by workers throughout the world in protest of the execution by Franco's hangmen of Crestino Garcia, valiant fighter against Hitler in the French resistance movement, and the jailing and pending execution of scores of other anti-fascists. — Wisconsin CIO News |
