Western Hotel

The Western Hotel. The original tavern was built in 1834 (?) by William Shields (?). In 1845 it was operated by his son Simon Shields. In 1873 the Hotel was taken over by Joseph Dreyfuss and was subsequently known as Hotel Dreyfuss. Presented in 1913 by the current proprietor Julius Dreyfuss, son of Joseph Dreyfuss. A group of men and women are posing in front of the hotel. Signs on the front of the hotel read: "F. Falks Lager Beer" and "J. Dreyfuss". |
