Based on information submitted by Richard Smallwood-Roberts, the men can be identified as follows: Back row, L to R: Horace R. Flint, John Benjamin Flint and Alvin Alder. Front row, L to R: Sergeant Charles Warren Flint, Henry Alder, John Albert Flint (in civilian clothing) and Daniel Benjamin Flint. John Albert Flint enlisted as a Private, Company E, 33rd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry on August 24, 1862. The Flints and Alders were related by marriage. |
