Mrs. Rennebohm Baking
Mary Fowler Rennebohm wearing an apron and sifting flour. Mrs. Rennebohm was the wife of Oscar Rennebohm, founder of the Rennebohm Drug Store chain and governor of Wisconsin. It is not known if any of the Rennebohm drug store recipes can be attributed to Mrs. Rennebohm. At one time the Rennebohm drug stores in Madison were so numerous that a favorite local joke identified the "Wisconsin" statue on the top of the Capitol as Mrs. Rennebohm "looking for a new site." |
