Flag Day Celebration
Madison's first Flag Day celebration, sponsored by the Order of Elks at the University of Wisconsin stadium. After a speech by Carl Zeidler, the audience joined the Eagle Scouts in a pledge of allegiance to the flag and a huge flag was unfurled with the assembled bands playing the Star Spangled Banner. |
