Passenger Pigeon Plaque

The Passenger Pigeon Plaque monument designed and built between 1947 and 1948 and is located in Wyalusing State Park. The plaque reads "DEDICATED TO THE LAST PASSENGER PIGEON Shot at Babcock, Sept. 1899. This Species Became Extinct Through the Avarice and Thoughtlessness of Man."
