The building belonged to the Soldiers Memorial Association, which was incorporated in 1902 for the purpose of "purchase, erection, maintenance, and furnishing of a building for the use of certain patriotic societies.". The sign above the entrance reads: "Dane County GAR Memorial Hall." |
